Is there any age limit to training with Fight Factory?

All Trainees should be at least 12 years of age in order to participate in training with Fight Factory Pro Wrestling.

Does FFPW allow females to participate in training sessions?

Yes, FFPW has had a number of female graduates in the past including Rebecca Knox, Jenny Sjodin & Laura McGoran.

What equipment do I need to participate in a training session?

All trainees should train in moderately loose & comfortable athletically suitable clothing, jeans are not permitted. We ask that trainees wear flat soled shoes or boxing/amateur wrestling boots to train for their safety & the safety of others, if trainees do not have such shoes, they may train wearing socks.

Is it true that the first training session with Fight Factory is free?

Yes, we at Fight Factory believe that everyone should be given the chance to sample pro wrestling training before they fully commit themselves, therefore we allow potential students a free trial period of one training session to assess whether they are suited to pro wrestling training. (does not apply to camps).

What is the difference between a junior & a senior trainee?

A junior trainee is a person who is between the ages of 12 � 16. Junior trainees train in the same sessions as senior trainees however they are separated into their own group so that they are not mismatched in terms of size or strength when attempting the more complex holds or techniques.
In exceptional circumstances someone over the age of 16 may be put into the junior group due to size or skill level.

Do I need parental permission to begin training?

If you are under the age of 18, yes you need signed written permission from a parent and/or guardian to begin training. If you are over the age of 18 however, no such permission is needed.

Is pro wrestling a safe hobby/profession? Will I get hurt?

Professional wrestling is a contact sport and accidents can happen, however at FFPW we aim to teach in the safest environment possible, in addition to this all of our instructors have the highest level of experience of any pro wrestlers in this country.

When can I start to wrestle on shows?

Once you begin training with FFPW, you will be constantly assessed by the training staff. Once they feel you are ready you will be allowed to take part in small gym shows to gain experience in front of a live crowd before pursuing employment in the pro wrestling business with other promotions both home & abroad.

I've done backyard wrestling, do I still have to train?

Yes, backyard wrestling will not help you once it comes to pro wrestling at all. Anyone who has participated in backyard wrestling will still be treated as a beginner once they join FFPW.

If I train with FFPW can I work with other pro wrestling promotions?

Yes. FFPW not only allows you to work with other pro wrestling promotions both home & abroad but we boast to have more domestic & international contacts & working relationships than any other pro wrestling training school in Ireland, perhaps even Europe. In addition to this we strongly encourage all of our trainees & members to pursue work in as many promotions as they can. As a result FFPW members participate in more pro wrestling matches than the students of any other school in this country on both the domestic & international level.

What is a pro wrestling camp?

A camp is a term used to describe special training sessions which test the skill level of the participants over a number of days. The most common type of camp in FFPW is a two day weekend camp. These usually consist of two 6 hour training sessions over two days in the Fight Factory, trainees are allowed to stay in our facility overnight if they wish.

I'd love to be involved in pro wrestling but don't think that I can wrestle, do you provide training for managers, valets, referees, or MCs?

Yes, each application will be considered on a case by case basis and special training will be administered to those who wish to learn the skill necessary for each of the above roles.
